Woodcut Experimentation, 2011/12

Selection of woodcuts, dried after printing. I pretty much always prefer the cuts to the prints created, there’s something about inked up wood, and me being a perfectionist. The contrast of light, virgin wood and dark ink isn’t bad. I don’t think I have much of a vision when it comes to prints, not seeing much further than off white paper and black ink.

Moth with a forgotten name, 2011
More experimentation after having more thoroughly researched Ashley Wood’s work, most notably his art for the Metal Gear franchise and his 96+ nudes book. Dip pen and ink. Too much ink.
